Inspection and Maintenance of the Heat Recovery Unit

1. Preparation for Inspection

  • Prepare the necessary tools and measuring instruments. 
  • Check access to the unit and ensure proper working conditions.

2. Visual Inspection of the Unit

  • Check the overall condition of the unit:
    • Ensure there are no signs of rust or damage.
    • Check for traces of water or other liquids.
  •  Inspect the condition of the belt:
    • Make sure it is not worn, loose, or cracked.
  •  Check the condition of the motors:
    • Verify that there are no noticeable excessive vibrations or noise.
    • Visually inspect for signs of overheating or lubricant leakage.

3. Filters

  • Replace the filters according to the unit type. 
  • During replacement, check:
    • Proper placement of new filters,
    • Sealing of the frames,
    • Record the date of replacement.

4. Airflow Measurement

  • Measure the airflow:
    • In all operating modes (e.g., Away, Home, High).
    • On both ducts (supply and exhaust branches).
  • Adjust the values to the correct settings.

5. Final Check

  • After replacement and measurements, perform a test run of the unit. 
  • Verify:
    • Proper operation of the motors,
    • The unit does not produce unusual noises,
    • The unit turns on and off according to control settings. 
  • Record the inspection results in the service log.
