Inspection and Maintenance of the Heat Recovery Unit
1. Preparation for Inspection
- Prepare the necessary tools and measuring instruments.
- Check access to the unit and ensure proper working conditions.
2. Visual Inspection of the Unit
- Check the overall condition of the unit:
- Ensure there are no signs of rust or damage.
- Check for traces of water or other liquids.
- Inspect the condition of the belt:
- Make sure it is not worn, loose, or cracked.
- Check the condition of the motors:
- Verify that there are no noticeable excessive vibrations or noise.
- Visually inspect for signs of overheating or lubricant leakage.
3. Filters
- Replace the filters according to the unit type.
- During replacement, check:
- Proper placement of new filters,
- Sealing of the frames,
- Record the date of replacement.
4. Airflow Measurement
- Measure the airflow:
- In all operating modes (e.g., Away, Home, High).
- On both ducts (supply and exhaust branches).
- Adjust the values to the correct settings.
5. Final Check
- After replacement and measurements, perform a test run of the unit.
- Verify:
- Proper operation of the motors,
- The unit does not produce unusual noises,
- The unit turns on and off according to control settings.
- Record the inspection results in the service log.
